Although, I might have gotten all this wrong, as it seems you imply that
you can give a random TCP/IP address as an argument wherever you take a
filename in VMS, which would suggest you need nothing but TCP/IP setup
on the machine. But I was under the impression that this was not the
case, and you needed to have setup the tunnel before you could do any
operations...

I need more enlightenment.
